Through residency awards, general mentorship, or by advising and exploring funding for food entrepreneurs as they embark on establishing new restaurants, markets, cafés, bakeries, and other local food businesses, the kitchen work foundation is dedicated to finding creative ways to encourage the making of more fresh, local, delicious food.
kitchen work, founded in 2016, is a printed journal, dedicated to stories about food and the table, the pantry and the wine cellar, gardens and farms and markets, dining rooms and cafeterias; stories from big kitchens and small kitchens, about cooking, the business of food and the state of restaurants, about family and friends and strangers making food and eating it.
